It’s November and we only have 8 weeks left of 2013! The last two months have totally flown by for me…in a good way! 🙂
Anyway, happy November to you all! Here are my pages for week 45:Super simple with fall colors.
I tried stamping at the top with a new bronze ink I bought at AC Moore over the weekend. It’s very glittery and pretty, but not particularly a saturated color. I can think of a lot of fun projects to use the color on, but it doesn’t quite work on the FF pages! I ended up tracing the word ‘Remember’ in black ink just so I could read it.
Stamped with a brown ink down the center to divide daily ‘to dos’ from Project Life notes.

I’ve been gone.
But now I’m back. And to make up for my unplanned absence, I’m bringing you THREE bits of awesome this morning.
First, my weekly pages:
I wanted to use some nice, neutral colors this week. I chose polka dot gray and warm yellow washi tapes, plus brown ink to decorate.
Last weekend, I managed to print a little check list for each day of the week directly onto the pages. It’s not perfect, but it’s close. The video explains a bit more about why I’ve done this, but essentially, I wanted all my to do lists, cleaning schedules, etc. to be in ONE section, not split across multiple sections.
The cute blue magnetic clip was from a RAK! I love it!
Second, a video! I totally changed my Filofax around again, so of course I had to make a video showing you all the fun newness. Here ya go:
Third, and finally, a freebie! You can download the journal page I created and print it for yourself! You can print it on blank personal sized Filofax pages OR on regular size printer paper and trim it to fit. When you print, make sure you change your settings for the personal size paper (3.75 x 6.75″). Feel free to customize it for your own Filofax(es) and/or share it on your blog, too. Just be sure to post a link back to this blog entry so people know where it’s from originally. Click the link below to download it 🙂

Week 41 in my Filofax is clean and simple! Last week got a little too busy for my liking, so I’m trying to ‘tone it down’ a bit. Here’s how it turned out:
I used my cute tape from YozoCraft on the bottom and my all-time favorite cloud/heart washi tape along the top. The yellow tape in the middle matches the bits of yellow in the house tape on the bottom.
I just love this tape! It’s not ‘real’ washi–it’s actually a plastic (not paper) based tape.
I made the banner out of a longer tag piece.
My little bunny face sticker was perfect for my blog notes about Lucy 🙂

I have a little extra to share with you today! This is week 40, so I have my decorated weekly pages, but it’s also the beginning of October on Tuesday, so I have my month on two pages decoration to show you. PLUS I filmed a video of my updated Filofax set up, so I’m sharing that, too.
Let’s start with the weekly pages:
The full page spread. I added a dividing line in the middle of each day and am planning to add notes about dinner and my blogging schedule over there. The lines and boxes will be for daily ‘to do’ notes.
I put a big sticky for a bill due date so hopefully I won’t forget this month!!
Washi at the top as a banner, across the middle, and along the bottom are all fall colors. I love the warm and cozy feel those colors evoke!
Now on to the monthly pages for October:
The full spread. I used washi along the left edge and the bottom to frame things, plus a little washi banner and star on the top right.
My washi bunny! This was so simple and I love how it turned out. All I did was trace my large bunny paper clip onto white cardstock. I used a thin blue washi tape to completely cover over the traced outline, then I just cut out the shape along the traced lines! I stuck him in the bottom right corner to help cover up the non-October days at the bottom. You could do this with any shape you’re able to cut out! Link up in the comments if you try it–I’d love to see your versions!
A close up of the top left where I used an Amy Tangerine sticker that matched well with the chevron washi tape.
And here’s the update video!
Are you Filofax-ed out yet? 😉 Thanks for stopping by!
This week turned out a little different. I hope it will give you an idea or two to use for your own PL albums if you run into this type of conundrum!
Week 37 was Week in the Life, so in my Project Life album, I only did a half spread on the left. That meant for week 38, I had an empty half page on the right. I had quite a few picture to include, so I didn’t want to try to squish everything onto just the half spread. I decided instead to add a design H as an insert and combine that with the half side of design A. Using the front and back of design H equals one side of design A, so I would end up with the same amount of space as I normally would! Here’s how the pages turned out:
My week 38 title card went on the front side of the design H page protector. I then had space for one picture on the bottom and a 3×4 caption card. I used a decorative card from 5th and Frolic and tried my hand at some embossing. Certainly would have been better in an actual color, but white’s all I’ve got at this point!
Close up of the embossing.
Design H, front side.
On the back of design H, I had room for two photos and caption cards.
I had some space to dress up this card a bit with a fabric flower and some dots.
The right side is design A.
Bunny pictures feature heavily this week 🙂
The two pages, side by side as they would be in the album.
I totally meant to get a Project Life post up on Friday.
And then I totally meant to post it on Saturday.
And…that didn’t happen. I did my PL spread for the previous week…it’s just that the pictures and posting bit didn’t happen. But it’s happening today along with your weekly dose of Filofax decoration goodness. Here are my Filofax pages for the week:
I wanted to go with a fall theme for the week since it’s the first official week of autumn. I didn’t want to go all pumpkin spice latte on the page, though, so I added in a bit of brighter green to balance out the darker fall colors. The yellow and orange washi on the top and bottom are really rich colors.
On the left side, I added some green stamps to note what blog entries I’m posting this week. I also added the multicolored ‘fall’ stamp at the top left. I just swirled it through yellow and orange ink to get the double colors. My huge bunny clip makes a good bookmark 🙂
Close up of the right side.
Alright, so here is what I ended up with for my Project Life from the week I did Week in the Life. I really like it!
Sorry about the glare. I had to take these at night, so I didn’t have much light to work with. Anyway, I just did a half page with leftover pictures that didn’t end up in my WITL album.
I typed up this card explaining why I had taken a week ‘off’ from PL and what exactly the point of WITL was/is.
I used a 3×4 card with a camera as a backing for this photo. I used an exact-o knife to cut the camera top out and then slipped the photo behind it.
Check back tomorrow! I plan to share how my WITL album is coming along–it’s almost done!
I woke up too early this morning and actually managed to do this with the bit of extra time I had before work! Nothing too crazy–washi tape and a bit of stamping.
Here are the pages. I used a light yellow/cream washi tape that looks like an old measuring tape across the bottom and top right. I also used a gray polka dot tape to separate the weekends and the ‘this week’ section.
I tried to stamp a design across the top, but it got really messed up! I covered it with a post-it flag and used letter stickers for the ‘WITL’ (Week in the Life).
The gray washi is actually a regular 1.5 cm wide tape. I taped a piece onto a stray bit of an index card, then sliced it in half in my paper cutter. After peeling it off the index card, I could use it as you can see above.
My bunny clip to mark the week 🙂 I used arrow stamps to remind myself about what blog posts are upcoming.
Hope you enjoyed! Feel free to comment with your Filofax decoration blog links!
